The library will be closed Monday, May 27th for the Memorial Day holiday. We are also closed Sunday, May 26th, as our seasonal Sunday hours have ended.

Arts & Crafts

During the school year, from September through May, we offer monthly art or craft workshops for adults. These programs require registration as space is limited.

The library has several book clubs available for adults! Interested in joining one? Contact the appropriate librarian, or stop by the library to pick up the current month's book (we keep copies of each book club's current selection on hold behind the circulation desk). Contemporary Book Group

The Contemporary Book Club, which reads a variety of contemporary fiction and nonfiction, meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Cyndee Marcoux (cmarcoux@marshfield.ocln.org) is the contact for this group.

Nonfiction Book Group

The nonfiction book club reads new and old nonfiction. This club meets from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Email Erica Ruscio (eruscio@marshfield.ocln.org) to join the email list for this group.

Un-Book Group

Are you looking to connect with other readers but don't always like the selected titles? Want to join a book group but don't always have the time to read the whole book? We read everything, and all reading tastes are welcome, including but certainly not limited to literary fiction, romance, thrillers, fantasy & science fiction, classics, memoirs, short books, long books, audiobooks, ebooks, graphic novels, serious books and books with quirky senses of humor, books with deep themes and fluff books, popular books and hidden gems, mainstream authors and brand-new indie books - we love them all and all are valid.This group meets from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month. Game Programs

We love games at Ventress Memorial Library! And game programs aren't just for kids and teens. We offer an exciting rotation of game programs for adults, including Dungeons & Dragons campaigns and one-shot games, other Role-Playing Games (RPGs), off-site trivia events, and more. 

Game Meetups

Game Master for Us

We have hosted a number of special, library-sponsored one-shot RPGs and mini campaigns, run by fabulous volunteer GMs. If there's an RPG or other game you'd like to GM for at the library, please contact Erica at eruscio@marshfield.ocln.org to get started, and fill out a volunteer application.
