2025 Annual Report

Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library FY2025 Annual Report. Community Advocacy. Enrichment Programs. Financial Support. Volunteerism.

2025 Highlights

Supporters of the library have generously donated some of their extraordinary books which are placed on the Auction Table each month and sold to the highest bidder. In December and June, the Auction Table was converted to Buy It Now for instant gratification and gift-giving.

The Friends hosted Professor Matt Davis for an engaging book talk presentation, At Home in the World: Reflections of a Travel Addict. An entertaining and informative evening was
enjoyed by all!

The always popular Trivia Night with the Friends returned in October. Thanks to the generous support of local sponsors, the Marshfield Country Club, donors, and attendees, this was our most successful fundraiser ever.

On November 15 the Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library held a Tots-to-Teens Book Sale. Enthusiastic buyers brought their bags and joined us in filling young people’s lives with the magic of books, games, and puzzles.

The Friends conceived and promoted an Amazon Wish List to enrich the Children’s Room with new toys and educational materials. Our community responded with an influx of items, and children smiled ear to ear!

Our support of the library’s youngest patrons extended beyond the Children’s Room Wish List. This year the Friends donated $2000 for a new family play area with a Camden Rose play kitchen and refrigerator, and sturdy foods to stock it. This quality furniture is made from cherry hardwood and will serve the children of Marshfield for many years to come!
