The library has several book clubs available for adults! Interested in joining one? Contact the appropriate librarian, or stop by the library to pick up the current club read (we keep copies for each club on hold behind the circulation desk--just ask the circulation staff!).
This book group reads exclusively classic books and books that are on their way to be classics. Depending on the occasion, they will switch between fiction and non-fiction, and between short stories and longer novels. This book group generally meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 4:30-6:00, though they will often switch their meeting time in order to screen a film related to their chosen books (so please confirm dates with our calendar before making plans to attend!). Chris Woods (email@example.com) is the contact for this book group.
This club, which reads a variety of contemporary fiction and non-fiction, meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:00 pm. Cyndee Marcoux (firstname.lastname@example.org) is the contact for this group.
The non-fiction book group reads new and old longform non-fiction. This club meets from 6:00-7:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. Nancy Hickey (email@example.com) is the contact for this club.
Uninterested in these book groups? Want a set of books for your own book group? Check out our list of circulating titles for book group kits--kits include 8-10 copies of a book as well as study guides and additional information.
