The library will be halting in-person visits on Thursday, January 7, 2021 and resuming on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Curbside pickup and phone service will continue as normal.
Though we have many titles at the library and at the Old Colony Network, we know that sometimes you need a book that we simply don't have in our collection. We have two options for patrons looking for items outside the collection: CommCat and InterLibrary Loan!
Can't find what you're looking for in your local system? The Massachusetts Commonwealth Catalog broadens your search to all of the libraries in Massachusetts, with convenient pick-up and return at your local library. Click here to search the Commonwealth Catalog (CommCat). You'll need to login in with your library card number and PIN in order to search, so be sure to have both of these handy!
Items borrowed through Commonwealth Catalog may take several weeks to arrive, and can be checked out for 4 weeks with no renewals.
Questions? Email email@example.com.
Sometimes even CommCat doesn't have what you need! Some items are so specific that only a few libraries have them. If you are looking for an item that you can't find anywhere else, we can attempt to make an interlibrary loan request on your behalf, which offers an even broader search.
Come in and fill out a patron request form in the library (available at the circulation desk), or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
We cannot guarantee that we can get you what you're looking for, but we will do our best! InterLibrary Loan items may take up to a month to arrive, so they are best suited for less time-sensitive needs.
