CHILDREN’S ROOM

The Children’s room of the Ventress Memorial Library contains a varietyof materials for children through grade six including: books, magazines,music, movies and audio books.

We participate in the statewide summer reading program
Throughout the year we feature various professional storytellers and performers
Group library tours/visits upon request
Book discussion groups for kids in grades 4 - 8

GENERAL STORYTIME INFORMATION

Tales for Tots : Infants - 3 yr olds with parent/guardian. Twenty minutes of simple stories and songs followed by a 30 minute playgroup. Drop-in program
Storytime : 3-4 year olds on their own. 20-25 minutes of picture book stories, songs and fingerplays. Drop-in program
Story Craft : 5-7 year olds on their own. 45 minutes of longer stories and related craft. Registration required
